We often hear people complain about money. And one of the most common issues for people is that they just don't have enough money.
If you feel the same way, start doing something about it now. You can opt to take on another job to increase your income. But if as it is you are already juggling three jobs, then you might want to assess your lifestyle and spending habits.
This video gives you some great ideas:
There are definitely areas where you can cut down the costs. In other words, find ways to save. Here are some suggestions to help you get started.
Watch out for those incentives. Utilities sometimes offer incentives which you can use to upgrade some appliances in your home. Buying certain products can also warrant you discounts at the time of purchase and in the long run.
Adjust habits. If you eat most of your meals outside your home, get your every cup of coffee from big coffee chains, or get your weekend dose of entertainment at the movies, try to be creative. Although preparing your own meals at home can require some work and time, but you will definitely save a lot of money. You will also know exactly what it's your food. For your coffee fix, buy ground coffee from the supermarket or your favorite coffee chain and brew your own coffee. And to stay entertained during weekends, go to a park or rent DVDs instead.
Put a limit to your spending. If you find it hard to control how much you spend, set aside a certain amount of money per week or per month for incidental purposes. As for the rest of your money, keep it in a place where it is hard to get to. Avoid impulse buying by staying within your set budget.
Document every single purchase. Write in a notebook all your purchases in a day, every day. After a month, sort out your expenses into different categories, like food, transportation, medicines, utilities, etc. Then make a realistic budget which you can commit yourself to stick with.
Pay your debts! Interests can easily eat a huge chunk of your budget. Rates and fees for credit cards have gone up and will continue to do so. If you don't start paying now, you will soon find it very hard to keep up.
