A Meal Plan Makes all the Difference

by Cindy
(Canada)

Every Saturday I make a complete, breakfast, lunch, supper and snack meal plan. Then I make a list of all the groceries that will be needed for these meals. Shopping with a 'needs' only list really helps avoid impulse buying and I only buy the food we need so we don't waste any money throwing out spoiled food. An added bonus is that I never have to figure out 'what's for supper' after a long day at work so we don't end up picking up take-out, another expense eliminated.
