Buy Pet Insurance

We are dog people...we love our dogs...however they can be expensive too.. We had a lovely Beagle - Cassie - who unfortunately hurt her back. We didn't have pet insurance - in the end it cost us $5000 between diagnosis, tests and surgury... Some people would say it isn't worth it spending the money for your dog - however Cassie was part of the family...After that we purchased pet insurance..For about $30 a month we would have avoided those costs. We purchased it for her after the surgery - the insurance wouldn't cover anything to do with her back but it did pay off later on when she got sick again and we had to put her down. So when we got Gracie our Choc Lab, we purchased insurance from the day we brought her home. Now I know that if anything major goes wrong with her that we won't be out of pocket $1000's of dollars!
