Debt Free Living
Is it Even Possible?

Of course debt free living is possible! Many people live the freedom of being debt free everyday! I do – do you? Do you want to?

Ok, so what does debt-free living mean anyway? Well it’s as simple as it sounds. Living without debt, or paying interest. It means living without credit card debt, student loans, mortgage payments, or car payments.

You pay your bills on time and avoid penalties. Basically, you own everything you have. You pay cash for everything you purchase. And most importantly, you don’t pay INTEREST!

I hate that word (interest), I see it as is a taboo – let’s not say it again – from now on it is the “Word that shall not be said” (I know a little dramatic but hey – drama is probably what put you in debt in the first place).

The debt free lifestyle is a choice. To live burdened with debt is also a choice. In this age of media and consumerism we have forgotten that we choose to go into debt. We are bombarded everyday by things we just “have to buy”.

What is Your "Thing" That You Can't Live Without?

What is that one thing that you can't live without? Everyone has something. Is it:

Designer handbags?

Shoes?

The latest and greatest toys or clothes for your kids?


The latest PDA, cell phone or electronics?

Café mocha loca with extra no fat designer coffees?

Vacationing in the most exotic places?

Cars?

The list goes on.

That one "thing" that you can't live without could be more than one. It could be all that were listed above. Chances are your "I can't live withouts" are what put you in debt. Living above your means. Spending more than you bring in (or earn) each month.

Every time you make a decision to spend your money, you are choosing if you want to be in debt or not, you just aren't conscious to it. Your money management plan (whether or not you are conscious of it) is to spend more money than you bring in. This results in debt. Sometimes more debt than you even realize!

Choose to Live Debt Free

So if you get that you chose to live in debt, you can also choose to live debt free! Think about what debt free living would mean for you? No more sleepless nights? No more arguments with your partner?

If you didn’t have to pay that “Word that shall not be said” – or in some cases - not pay and see your debt snowball - what would you use that money for?

The ironic thing is that you may be able to use that extra money to buy those things you “can’t live without”! But you can buy them for cash! And for the price you paid for them! (not the price plus the interest)

So your first step in living debt free is to choose it! Once you choose it, then commit to it, design your game plan to achieve it and then work your game plan!

You could have a debt free lifestyle! You can choose whatever you want. You just have to come up with your game plan and stick to it!
