Personal Finance Tips
From the
Debt Diva
Personal Finance Tips from the Debt Diva.
Here is a video the Debt Diva did to start off 2010 - although it applies to
any time period.
Some lessons to learn from the video:
- Look back over your last years finances to budget for this year.
This will give you an idea of how you spent your money and you can see where
you can cut back.
- Use worksheets and filing systems to keep organized. Budgeting
software works too - We love
YNAB
- Look money
saving ideas. - THere are many ways to save money - after all a dollar
saved is a dollar earned!
- Stop using Credit Cards and go to a Cash only system. I love this
one as if you aren't using credit cards, you aren't accumulating more debt!
- Find ways to make more money to pay down debt or increase your
savings. Pay
off debt in chunks and you won't have as much interest to pay, or will
it take as long to get out of debt.
- Make paying off your debt a priority. The ONLY way you will pay
it off is if you make it a priority. Make your
get out of debt plan and stick with it!.
