Even Young Teens Make Money

Can young teens make money too? Sure they can, they just may have to be a little more creative about it.

 The younger you start the earlier you will learn to manage your money. You will also gain valuable experience so when you are old enough you can get the job you want!

Again a disclaimer, Don't get sucked into the "easy money making for teens online" world just as adults are. In my experience, both online and off there is no "EASY" way to make lots of money. It takes initiative, hard work, ambition and in most cases experience.

Always look for opportunities to offer your services. Show adults that you are willing to learn and help out. Learn about other kids and young teens that are successful. Learn from them!

So be creative and resourceful and come up with some ideas to join the "Young Teens make money" club. It is possible!

Can't Get a Job?

Even though a job is a great way to gain experience and make some money, you may not be old enough yet to get a job.

Maybe your parents don't want you to as they want you to focus on your studies, or maybe the law doesn't allow you too as you are too young.

That just means you have to be more creative!
 

Ideas for How Young Teens Make Money

Try these ideas:

• Baby Sitting - both before and after school and on weekends.
• Be a Mother's Helper - after school or during holidays
• Pet Sitting or Dog Walking - Checking in on cats or fish while friends and neighbors are away.
• Have rummage sales - find other people that want to sell stuff but don't' want to do the work and sell it for them for a portion of the sale price.
• Bake - sell homemade cookies to your friends and neighbors.
• Collect Aluminum cans and glass bottles with deposits and cash them in
• Sell bottled water at local garage sales or events (i.e. little league games)
• Make jewelry or other arts and crafts and sell them
• Tutoring younger kids
• Sell Seasonal items during holiday times of the year - i.e. flags on your country's birthday or Christmas decorations at the holidays.
• Offer painting services
• Car Washes
• Paper route

Volunteer

There are always opportunities to volunteer, If you are having a hard time finding a job, then volunteer. You will learn invaluable skills and qualifications that you can take with you when you apply for a job in the future. Some volunteer opportunities include: working at a Veterinarian's office, Hospital or even intern at companies you are interested in learning more about.

Once You Make the Money - Now What?

Once you have joined the "Young Teens Make Money" Club you have to learn to manage it! I am sure you have heard the adults in your life talking about debt and the economy and you may see them stressing about money. The majority of this stress comes from not learning how to manage their money. This isn't something they teach you in school. So learn now!

Once you start making your money - make sure you make a plan to manage it. Spend it - but Save it too. In fact pay yourself first. You will be amazed at how much you can save if you start young!
