Potatoes and Goat

(Prep + Cooking Time: 60 minutes | Servings: 5)

2 ½ lb. goat meat, cut into small cubes

5 tbsp. vegetable oil

3 tsp. turmeric powder

3 cardamom pods

3 onions; chopped.

2-inch cinnamon stick

2 tomatoes; chopped.

4 garlic cloves; minced.

2 green chilies; chopped.

3/4 tsp. chili powder

3 potatoes, cut into halves

1 tsp. sugar

4 cloves

A small piece of ginger, grated

Salt and black pepper to the taste

2 ½ cups water

1 tsp. coriander; chopped.

Put goat cubes in а bowl, add salt, pepper and turmeric, toss to coat and leave aside for 10 minutes.

Set your instant pot on Sauté mode; add the oil and half of the sugar, stir and heat up

Add potatoes, fry them a bit and transfer to а bowl

Add cloves, cinnamon stick and cardamom to pot and stir

Also add ginger, onion, chilies and garlic, stir and cook for 3 minutes.

Add tomatoes and chili powder, stir and cook for 5 minutes

Add meat, stir and cook for 10 minutes.

Add 2 cups water; then stir well. seal the instant pot lid and cook at High for 15 minutes.

Quick release the pressure, carefully open the lid; add more salt and pepper, the rest of the sugar, potatoes and ½ cup water, seal the instant pot lid and cook at High for 5 minutes

Release the pressure again, carefully open the lid; divide among plates, sprinkle coriander on top and serve.
